An 8am start from Belfast city centre sees the cans cracked open in transit. The first stop in Newry is Murtagh’s pub – closed down as a result of the by-pass. The lads take a souvenir.
Driving into Dundalk for opening time at 10am, the lads get leery with the locals in McKeown’s pub, before fuelling up with grub in Friar Tuck’s and moving on.
The craic really kicks off in Castlebellingham when the lads meet a huge party of revelers in for a cure in P J Byrne’s. Then over to the Castle where Dave breaks out the Kazoo and clears the bar with his awful rendition of ‘Moon River’.
Drunken debate, mayhem and music at Monasterboice as the alcohol starts to show on the lads. But a dose of Riverdance brings back a new lease of life in the boys at the White Hart bar in Balbriggan.
There at last! – The three boisterous boys dick around in Dublin.
